Shore Drive Farm Market Vendor Agreement

​1. Welcome to the Market Family

Shore Drive Farm Market LLC operates a year-round gathering for our community at 2945 Shore Drive every Saturday. Our mission is to provide a "safe haven" where shoppers can trust the quality of your local produce, prepared treats, and artisan work.

• ​Market Hours: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
• ​Arrival & Setup: To create a seamless experience for early-bird shoppers, all vendors must be settled and ready to go by 8:45 AM.
• ​Late Arrivals: We understand mornings can be hectic, but late arrivals challenge the market’s flow. Please notify the Market Manager if you are running behind; these will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
• ​Breakdown: Vendors have one hour after the market closes (until 1:00 PM) to clear their space.

​2. Your Space & Operations

• ​Booth Assignments: The Market Manager handles assignments to ensure a diverse variety for customers and optimal visibility for you.
• ​Payment: To keep operations running smoothly, full payment must be settled prior to your arrival and setup each Saturday.
• Quality Standards: All prepared foods must comply with Virginia’s Cottage Food Laws or be made in a certified kitchen. Vendors must also maintain all required licenses from the City of Virginia Beach, VDA, and VDH.

​3. Safety, Security & Liability

• Steady & Secure (Tent Requirements): To protect our community from coastal breezes, every vendor must provide their own tent and use 20 lb. weights per leg. This is a vital step for the safety of your setup and your neighbors.
• Liability: The Vendor assumes all responsibility and liability for any damages to persons or property resulting from their operations. By signing, you agree to indemnify and hold Shore Drive Farm Market LLC harmless from all claims.
• Insurance Recommendation: To protect the dream you’ve built, the Market strongly recommends maintaining independent business liability insurance of at least $1,000,000. While we may not verify this weekly, it serves as a critical safety net for your business.

​4. Market Stewardship & Cancellations

• Keep it Beautiful: We take great pride in our shared space. Vendors are responsible for leaving their booth area tidy.
• Waste: All vendor-generated waste must be removed by 1:00 PM. Vendors selling immediate-consumption items must provide their own trash receptacle; the on-site dumpster is strictly off-limits.
• Cancellations: If you cannot attend, please provide at least 24 hours' notice so we can keep the market looking full and festive. Subleasing is permitted only with prior approval.
